Wrappers for both LabVIEW™ and MATLAB™ are available with PFV, as is the automated motion analysis plug-in software - Photron FASTCAM Analysis (PFA).
The system is supplied with intuitive Photron FASTCAM Viewer (PFV) software and Photron Device Control SDK (software development kit) allowing integration with user specific software. Software and SDK's for LabView and Matlab included The lower priced Mini UX50 allows 2000 fps at full resolution. The Mini UX100 is the faster camera, providing 4000 fps at full resolution. The FASTCAM Mini UX is available in two models that differ only in frame rate performance.
In addition, the camera is supplied with a Nikon F mount lens fitting fully compatible with G type Nikon DSLR objectives. At full image resolution, the image sensor size is compatible with readily available 1” C mount lenses allowing the user a wide choice of small, low cost and very high aperture (up to f0.85) objectives to use with the system and may also be coupled to scientific microscopes and borescopes. Using innovative proprietary CMOS image sensor technology, the FASTCAM Mini UX100 achieves high light sensitivity from a sensor having a 10μm pixel size fitted with a micro lens array. This makes the Mini UX small and light weight camera ideally suited for applications as varied as life sciences, off board automotive testing or ballistic testing. The Mini UX100 and the UX50 utilize a digital CMOS sensor with full 1280 by 1024 pixel resolution to 4000 frames per second (fps), 6400 fps at 720 HD video resolution (20 for the UX50), and reduced resolution operation all the way to 800.000 fps.
